Booking modalities:
1.1. Prior Notice
services must be booked 12 hours before the performance. For bookings received without adequate notice Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service may not guarantee the acceptance of services; however, Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service will attempt to make itself available for the performance.
1.2. Acceptance of reservation
The following data must be provided at the time of booking:
Number of passengers and number of pieces of luggage (read carefully Point 6 Conditions of Carriage);
Date and time of appointment with the customer (time, origin and flight/ship/train number in the case of airport/port/railway arrival transfers);
Pick-up address and travel itinerary;
Customer's surname and mobile phone number;
Once the booking confirmation has been received, Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service will send the customer a confirmation of the service taking over with details of the service booked.
The client is required to communicate data with the utmost accuracy; Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service will not be held responsible in any way in the event of incorrect data being communicated by the client; the data provided will be processed in accordance with current privacy legislation.
1.3. What is included in the booking price:
- car with driver at disposal;
- national motorway tolls;
- loading luggage in the car.
- VAT 10%;
1.4. What is not included in the booking price:
- driver's expenses (board and lodging) for services lasting more than 10 hours;
- ferry costs;
- city or foreign state entry fees and parking fees;
- anything not mentioned under 'What is included in the booking price'.
Cancellations and changes of reservations, delays and no-shows:
2.1. Cancellations
Cancellation of a reservation without penalty is accepted with 24 hours' notice before the appointment time.
Cancellations received within less than 12 hours are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service charge.
A cancellation fee of 100 per cent of the amount of the service is charged for cancellations received at a later time and in the event that the customer does not turn up or refuses the booked service.
In order to be accepted, the cancellation must be submitted in a traceable manner, i.e. by email, telephone channel and/or messaging service, including Whatsapp.
For customer cancellations caused by unforeseen events due to reasons beyond its control, Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service may apply no penalty (after receiving the appropriate justification). In this case, the cancellation is also accepted immediately through the telephone channel.
2.2. Changes
Any changes to the data transmitted at the time of booking will be accepted within 4 hours of the appointment time.
After this deadline, in the event of a request to change the data transmitted during the booking process (timing or itinerary of the service), the minimum amount owed by the client to Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service will still be the amount previously established during the booking process.
The route that the vehicle must take to provide the service must be pre-established with the customer at the time of booking; any unforeseen changes to the route, implemented for reasons other than emergencies or heavy traffic (technical problems with the vehicle, driver or passenger illnesses), shall be subject to a surcharge proportional to the difference in mileage between the pre-established route and the route actually taken.
2.3. Delays
For all services not subsequently specified (points 3-4-5 airport, port and rail transfers), a free waiting time of 15 minutes is tolerated from the time of appointment; beyond this time, the customer is required to pay an additional sum according to the company price list, for each hour or fraction of 15 minutes of waiting time by the driver.
2.4 No-show
For all services not subsequently specified (points 3-4-5, airport, port, rail transfers), in the event of passengers' no-show within the time limit of 15 minutes after the appointment time and without any warning telephone communication (no show), the driver is allowed to leave the place of appointment: the service will still be charged.
3. Conditions for Arrival Transfers at Airports:
3.1 Waiting
Clients or passengers are required to promptly notify Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service by telephone in the event of unforeseen events, cancelled flights, or delays in pre-boarding operations on the aircraft; in the case of passenger delays with respect to the pre-arranged appointment time at the airport meeting point, a free waiting time is however tolerated, on the part of the driver personnel, up to 60 minutes from the scheduled landing time; beyond this time, the customer is required to pay an additional fee for the additional waiting time on the part of the driver personnel, in accordance with the company's rate card.
N.B. The availability of the booked service may not be guaranteed if the tolerance period for delays is exceeded and no warning is given, in which case the service will be charged in full.
3.2 Meeting Place
The default meeting place at the airport is the arrivals hall; any other meeting place must be communicated by the customer at the time of booking.
The driver will wait for passengers by displaying a luminous sign or tablet with their name, surname or company logo.
Once contact has been established, the driver will accompany passengers to the vehicle parked in the spaces provided for this purpose by the airport administration. Passengers are not allowed to choose a different place to board the vehicle, in order to comply with airport traffic legislation.
In the event that passengers arrive earlier at the appointment location than the time stated on the booking, they are kindly requested to wait for the arrival of the driver until the scheduled appointment time.
4. Conditions for Arrival Transfers at Railway Stations:
4.1 Waiting
The customer must promptly notify Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service by telephone in the event of unforeseen train departures or delays caused by any stops. In the event of passenger delays with respect to the pre-established appointment time at the station and without any telephone warning, (however, free waiting of passengers by the driver staff is tolerated for up to 30 minutes from the scheduled time of arrival of the train), beyond this time an additional payment is due, for further waiting by the driver staff, in accordance with the company's tariff.
N.B. The availability of the booked service may not be guaranteed if the tolerance period for delays is exceeded and no warning is given, in which case the service will be charged in full.
4.2 Meeting Place
The meeting place at the station will be determined in advance during the booking process. The driver will wait for the passengers by displaying a sign with their name, surname or company logo.
Once contact has been established, the driver will accompany the passengers to the vehicle parked in the spaces provided for this purpose by the Public Administration. Passengers are not permitted to choose a different place to board the vehicle, in order to comply with traffic legislation.
Should passengers arrive earlier at the appointment location than the time stated on the booking, they are kindly requested to wait for the arrival of the driver until the scheduled appointment time.
5. Conditions for Arrival Transfers at Ports:
5.1 Waiting
The customer is obliged to promptly notify Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service by telephone in the event of unforeseen delays in the departure of the ship or delays caused by any stops or changes of destination; in the event of the customer's delay with respect to the prearranged appointment time at the port and without any warning telephone communication (a free waiting time for passengers is however tolerated, for up to 30 minutes from the ship's scheduled arrival time), beyond this time an additional payment is due, for the additional waiting time by the driver's personnel, in accordance with the company's tariff.
N.B. The availability of the booked service may not be guaranteed after the tolerance period for delays has been exceeded and without warning, in which case the service will be charged in full.
5.2 Meeting Place
The meeting place at the port will be established in advance during the booking process. The driver will wait for the passengers by displaying a sign with their name, surname or company logo.
Once contact has been established, the driver will accompany the passengers to the vehicle parked in the spaces provided for this purpose by the Port System Authority or Public Administration.
Passengers are not allowed to choose a different place to board, due to compliance with traffic legislation.
Should passengers arrive earlier at the appointment location than the time stated on the booking, they are kindly requested to wait for the arrival of the driver until the scheduled appointment time.
6. Conditions for transport:
6.1. Baggage, pets, handicapped passengers, minors:
Each passenger may carry up to one suitcase and one hand luggage; the amount of luggage in excess of the permitted allowance must be declared at the time of booking in order to avoid the assigned vehicle being unsuitable for the service. Otherwise Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service reserves the right to request, when allowed by the vehicle's capacity, an extra charge of €20 for each extra piece of luggage or to cancel the service by charging the full amount.
All items transported travel under the responsibility of their owners; Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service will not be liable for damage to or loss of the items transported.
The transport of pets, if any, must be notified in advance during the booking process and must take place using the appropriate accommodation/containers.
The transport of disabled persons, non-ambulatory persons and minors, must be communicated at the time of booking in order to prepare the vehicle suitable for the specific transport in accordance with the regulations in force (also in order to find any restraint seats).
All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service reserves the right to cancel the service and charge the full amount in any case in the event that this request for transport was not specified at the time of booking.
Behaviour of passengers in the vehicle.
Users of the rental service are forbidden to:
smoking during transport;
drinking and carrying alcoholic beverages in the passenger compartment;
throwing objects from stationary and moving vehicles;
soiling, defiling or damaging the vehicle; in the event of damage to the vehicle, compensation will be claimed from the transported user;
demand the transport of pets without having adopted, in agreement with Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service, all useful measures to avoid damage or soiling of the vehicle;
require the vehicle to stop that was not already planned at the time of booking; a stop is only permitted for emergency reasons (illness or technical problems with the vehicle) any changes to the route or any unscheduled stops with respect to the itinerary established at the time of booking will in any case be charged by Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service to the customer in accordance with the company's rate card;
disturbing the driving personnel while driving through rude discussions or violent behaviour.
Users of the rental service are obliged to:
comply with all legal regulations including municipal regulations.
During transport, the driver is entitled to interrupt the service or change the route if the passengers do not comply with the previous conditions of carriage on board.
7. Tour:
Not included in the price:
Museum entrance fees, food, wine tasting and other personal expenses and tips. Your driver, who is not a tour guide, can provide comments and explanations during the trip but is not allowed to do so outside the car. If you would like someone to accompany you while you visit the sites or provide explanations or historical references, private tour guides are available at an additional cost. Your driver will be happy to give you any suggestions on the best places to eat and other general information.
Tipping: consider tipping your driver, which is the proper way to show your appreciation.
Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service is not responsible for items forgotten on board vehicles.
8. Miscellaneous:
In the event of unforeseen circumstances on the route due to adverse road, weather or traffic conditions (demonstrations, strikes, vandalism, terrorism, police checks, fires, floods) or due to technical failures of the vehicle or driver illness, Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service is not responsible for delays or disruptions and does not guarantee the possibility of travelling on the vehicle chosen at the time of booking. In this case, however, an attempt will be made to complete the service by alternative means (taxi, car, hired bus with or without driver, etc. etc.).
It is the customer's obligation to report to Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service, as soon as possible, any problems arising from inefficiencies or shortcomings directly attributable to our work.
Any dispute or controversy, regarding the activities carried out between Manita Srl / Trapani Tourism Service and the customer, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Trapani (Italy).
9. Refund/withdrawal/cancellation policy
The customer can cancel a reservation by writing to us, sending an e-mail or via telephone messaging, including Whatsapp.
Cancellation of the car rental with driver service or additional services without penalty is accepted no later than 24 hours before the service.
Cancellations received within 12 hours prior to the commencement of the service are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service charge.
In the event of a cancelled flight or a flight delay of more than 30 minutes before departure, the customer is obliged to notify our reservations number +393288009095 in order to ensure the presence of one of our employees upon arrival. Failure to give notice of a delayed or cancelled flight excludes the right to have the car available in the event of a delayed or postponed arrival and will incur a 50% penalty.
